Open Question: How do we win against animal cruelty accusations?

Hey, it's Estelle. I'm a 15 year old girl, whose entire family is an avid animal lover, I'm currently taking care of: cats (4 of which are kittens),big tanks of salt water and tropical fish (around 10 fish in each), dogs (3 of which are puppies), ferrets, dry land turtle (planning on getting another one), male hamsters, female white rabbits, hermit crabs, male guinea pigs, cockatiels and budgies, female mice. My younger brother is taking care of: Tarantulas, Giant burrowing cockroaches, stick insects. My older brother is taking care of: Baby tigers (required a license here and planning on giving her to a local zoo), corn snake. Mom and Dad are taking care of: Cows, goat, sheep, horses, pigs (2 of which are piglets) chickens (hen and rooster) ducks. And recently we’ve been nursing 4 abandoned cats and 1 injured dog we found on the streets. We have plenty of space for every of the animal who require big areas to run around in, enough tunnels for the rodent families, enough grazing field for the farm animals. Basically we don’t have any shortage for the animals. Each of us take many hours cleaning for the animals, feeding the animals, playing with the animals and making sure they’re glad and healthy and met with every requirement needed to lift them. We don’t grow the animals so that we can eat them (referring to the farm animals) although we do receive some plain eggs from Flora (the hen), milk from Sunny (the cow) and Jane (the goat). However, a family pal who had arrive over to our home had called RSPCA because they thought we were breeding the animals to sell them and thought that we weren’t taking care of them properly. Parents told me not to receive into ‘adult business’ so I haven’t, yet. I was just wondering, how are we supposed to rebuke against this accusation? We don’t exactly video ourselves taking care of them and everything =__=. Help? Please and thank you :/

Open Question: Need relationship advice please help?

I have been on and off with a girl for 7 years and when we were about 3 years into the relationship I chose to follow her to the college she was going to (in hopes of keeping the relationship alive). Well anyway from the start she didn't spend as much time with me as I would have wanted and we started arguing and fighting every the time... she ended up dumping me and clip off every contact with me for about a month. I moved back home (about an hour away) and went to community college for a year while starting to talk to her again and we patched things up. I made the 2 hour roundtrip steer hundreds of times to look her, she never came back to look me once. I completed community college and decided that I was going to go to the college I had wanted to go to since I was 5 which was 1200 miles away. I figured we were already long distance so it wouldnt have mattered. We weren't going out when I left but she didn't want to receive back together either. Since I left my grades have gone up, I built a successful business, and adore the weather out here. In every the time I've been out here, she hasn't arrive to look me once and refuses to. She also is telling me she'll never leave her family and move out of state. I told her thats fine but I'm not moving to where she lives again to receive dumped again by her. The problem is she still texts me every the time to look what I'm doing, she always says she wants to talk but every she says is the same thing that she isn't going to leave and I should just deal with it. What do you think I should do?

Open Question: Can you give me fashion advice to win this bet on halloween?

I have taken this bet but I need advice especially from women about how to win it! every suggestions welcome! Last year halloween I won a bet by dressing up in drag for a costume party with people from work. Some of the women there bet me I could not last a night in drag because the clothes and shoes would be too uncomfortable. Actually it was no problem! Yesterday one of the women was complaining about having new shoes that she said were hurting and I joked that she couldn't handle them like I did at halloween. A bit later a group of them came back and said they had a new challenge for me and wanted to double the bet from last year. They said one night was too easy no way could I last a whole week, so this year when Halloween comes, to win the new bet I would have to go in drag to that party AND for work for the whole week before. The boss said it is OK as long as I look convincing as a lady at work and not stupid. So I would have to wear a business suit (with a short skirt and high heels) for a week and a party dress again, and they would give me a complete makeover for the week - hair, make up, fake nails, shaved legs, the works. I am up for laughs and it would be silly to win and prove them every wrong. So I need advice on how to look good and how to last the week, especially in those shoes, I managed walking around in 4 inch stilettos for one night but a whole week could be difficult! And for the party I need to find an awesome dress that will look stunning, but not cost too much, any ideas? I have got quite a bit of time to receive stuff ready but I want to win that bet lol!!

Open Question: Undertaker vs John Cena at Wrestlemania 27 - DO IT!?

I've always been of the opinion that Taker vs Cena will not happen at Mania, just like Taker vs Austin and Taker vs Rock didn't. Why? Because each generation/ era of the company needs some faces and some backbones. Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, HHH, they are like the backbones of the company. You can't do good matches and feuds without them and they are required to push/ elevate other talent. Their longevity with the company speaks for it, as to why they are cornerstones. The faces keep changing with each era, like you had Hogan in the golden era, Austin/ Rock in the attitude era, and now you have Cena in the PG era (yuck). Its a different thing when you lose a match to somebody else at Mania and when you lose to the Undertaker. No doubt, your name is written in history - that's the positive part. But having Austin or Rock listed up there in Taker's streak as a victim, and have that name announced in the list every year when Taker's Mania promo runs, would've hurt their reputation as top faces. The same would hold true for Cena right now. The kids would cease believing in him, the T shirts and merchandize sales would go low, because in every fairness and probability, we know that the Undertaker's Wrestlemania streak is the greatest record in the history of pro-wrestling and it can never be re-created, therefore NO superstar (young or old, big or tiny) deserves to end it. But how nice it would be for us veteran fans, if the match actually happened and Cena gets the cr*p kicked out of him, and the kids realize once and for every how over-rated he is and who the greatest superstar actually is. It won't be a good technical wrestling match (which Jericho might give) because Cena can't wrestle for nuts, but it would be great to look his a** kicked. Anyone else feels that this match would help in improving the perception of the kids about wrestling ;-) ? Of course, it would hurt the business because its the PG era and so Cena should be the hero. That's probably why it would never happen.

Open Question: Why is my family being to insensitive?

I was sexually abused by my dad when I was 12-15. He died 2 yrs back. My mom and brother are completely unaware of this and matter of fact, they would never believe that he was capable of something like that. I am unemployed right now. I've started seeking a therapist. The therapist informed me that I am clinically depressed. When I told this to my family...this is what their reaction were - me: I visited a shrink today. he: what?? you didn't even tell us! Look at the attitude. me: she says that i am clinically depressed. he: I fail to understand why you are so keen to think that something is wrong with you and you want to receive our attention me: aren't there quite a few symptoms? he: Oh please! We every have been thru something traumatic (dad's death)...you know what....everyone goes thru such a period! Even I did, when my business failed....but I snapped back and made it a success. You know what....try yoga. me: i don't wanna try yoga....what's wrong with shrink? he: shrinks are useless.....you shd talk to mom/ me:look....there are some things that I can talk to a 3rd person...i can't talk to mom. he: like what? me: I told you....i don't wanna talk about it. mebbe she'd have a better idea of why i am the way i am. he: oh please! I know exactly why u r the way you are....you are lazy. ....and after a cried.....he softened and came up with various theories of my depression. And when I told this to my mom - me: mom....I met a shrink and she says that I'm clinically depressed. mom: so? me: ....just wanted to inform. mom: receive married. you would receive every the happiness that every your probs will be solved. me (frustrated): mom! i don't wanna marry! mom (mad): why did our ancestors arrive up with marriage...this is the right age to marry. mom (softening): try that alpha mind that we look the ads of.... me: ok mom. I went to room and cried and later - mom: look...depression comes from inferiority complex. you are talented....just believe in yourself. I fail to understand why my family is reacting this way and not showing any compassion. I don't want any extraordinary sympathy from them....but their reaction is making me feel even more miserable and confused. My family loves and cares about me...then why are they behaving this way?? Instead of putting me at ease...my family's reaction making my day worse!! Pls tell me how to deal with this situation. I am not earning right now, so I need their support.

I will graduate in about three years, so please don't tell me that the current job market is crap for everybody (but if you think it still will be awful in three years, let me know). What can I actually do with an undergraduate degree in economics? I don't plan on studying economics in academia or becoming an economist - I would rather receive involved with the banking or business industry - do I have a legitimate shot at getting those kinds of jobs with an econ degree? People say econ degrees are really useful for personal knowledge...but can I receive a good job out of college with one? I plan on getting a MBA somewhere down the road but I don't want to go to grad school right away.

Open Question: Videotaping children committing a crime is illegal?

Back in February, my work truck was broken into. Some of my welding equipment and tools were taken. Fortunately I have a surveillance camera that captured everything as it happened. It was a 15 year old punk who had recently moved onto the road, and some of his friends. The boy's mom ask that I not have him prosecuted, and that I let here deal with it. Since I only got some of my tools back, I pressed charges. The lady has claimed every along that I was racist and vengeful. The family is African American and I am white. That has nothing to do with it. No one has any business stealing my work tools. I don't care what race they are. The boy was prosecuted with what amounted to no more than a slap on the wrist. I was still out several hundred dollars for the damage to my truck and the tools that were never recovered. I won a judgment against them but have not received a dime. Monday I was served with a summons. Apparently the lady has found someone who says videotaping minors for exhibition without their permission is a crime. Say what? Yes. I had no signs warning that I was video taping. And the fact the tape was played in court was public exhibition. This violated the boy's civil rights. She is asking for the maximum allowed. $5,000 What, if any leg do I have to stand on?

Okay, I think I just screwed up my year before the school even started. I'm going to middle school this year and I missed the orientation because of some family business. Then I went to the registration day and did every that jazz, I was waiting in line to for the internet user agreement. Then this 8th grader came (I think she was helping around) told me that I can skip this line and arrive back when the school starts. So I did, then yesterday I saw my friends talking on face book about their schedules, they got it from the website and user name and password is needed, which I skipped on the registration day. Open Question: Does 'Business Studies' correspond to the Dutch word 'Bedrijfswetenschappen' or 'Bedrijfskunde'?

I was just browsing through my possible options for a master's and my attention was drawn towards Business Studies. My question is, which of the two (bedrijfswetenschappen or bedrijfskunde) is the Dutch translation for Business Studies? I ask this because I'm a sophomore Life Science & Technology student in Delft/Leiden (the Netherlands) and quite frankly I'm more or less fed up with some aspects of LS&T.. but due to some personal circumstances I'm unable to switch, so I wanted to finish my bachelor's and switch to a different master. I've already decided that I want to do Business Studies, but we're not required to pick our minor (which I've already chosen to be Bedrijfswetenschappen, btw) and I was just curious which is which. PS: I know this was posted in another category, but I'm not quite sure where to put it so I'm just being thorough. Then again, more points for you guys, right?

I am an eighteen year old girl, graduate student, part-time community college, seeking for a job. I have no job experience but I have skills as a cashier. Yet I have issues in looking for a job. Where I live its difficult to find jobs here, internet is the only source I could look for jobs. My dad or my grandparents aren't helping me to find jobs at this point. I need job ideas that can help me receive job experience for future reasons. I'm thinking of boys & girls club?? Mc Donalds is not on the list of ideas. Open Question: What should I do about her?

I have been on and off with a girl for 7 years and when we were about 3 years into the relationship I chose to follow her to the college she was going to (in hopes of keeping the relationship alive). Well anyway from the start she didn't spend as much time with me as I would have wanted and we started arguing and fighting every the time... she ended up dumping me and clip off every contact with me for about a month. I moved back home (about an hour away) and went to community college for a year while starting to talk to her again and we patched things up. I made the 2 hour roundtrip steer hundreds of times to look her, she never came back to look me once. I completed community college and decided that I was going to go to the college I had wanted to go to since I was 5 which was 1200 miles away. I figured we were already long distance so it wouldnt have mattered. We weren't going out when I left but she didn't want to receive back together either. Since I left my grades have gone up, I built a successful business, and adore the weather out here. In every the time I've been out here, she hasn't arrive to look me once and refuses to. She also is telling me she'll never leave her family and move out of state. I told her thats fine but I'm not moving to where she lives again to receive dumped again by her. The problem is she still texts me every the time to look what I'm doing, she always says she wants to talk but every she says is the same thing that she isn't going to leave and I should just deal with it. What do you think I should do?

Open Question: I really love a girl ( but i never met or talked to her )?

i know this girl from past 1 year and i have been chatting/playing with her everyday .we are from diffrent states but same country (india) .we met on a game client and thus we started talking and sharing and its been a year now . we have almost discussed and shared everything till now . i have her mobile number but we never talked actually we just message(on mobile) or chat on gameclient,facebook or gtalk . its like a daily routine for me to cal her whenever i cme home from college or work and we play together and have fun and we never play without each other. we have even fought like hundred times about tiny things. and i have even expressed my feelings towards her. she even shared some of her pics with me. btw she is a shy girl and as far as i know she never talks with ne1 else except me and she talks to me because she trusts me a lot. and we always message each other about everything and really feel unhappy and anxious when she fights with me and ignores me. but its not even one day when we didn't message each other from last year.. and there are like more then 1 lakh lines on gtalk and 8k messages on mobile .. she says that she cannot talk to me on phone as she feels shy and she will talk when she gets strength.. i know its kinda weird but i still adore her and i just think about her most of the time .. we both are 19 . we are frm different religion, place and culture but still i dont know what to do.. i feel really frustrating if i don't chat with her or i dont receive answer from her and my day goes worse then hell...i concentrate on my studies as well as my dad's business but no matter what happens i never miss a day to arrive online .. i dont have any girl pal or ne female pal .. i just avoid talking to girls ...i dont know why but I really wish to meet her one day but i don't know if that is possible or not.. i will really appreciate if sme of u can give me advice on this.. Open Question: Hey ladies, do you think brazillian bikini waxes are worth it?

Meaning the cost, discomfort, and inconvenience of having to go receive it done as opposed to taking care of business right in your possess shower. I've only been waxed once and I'm not sure if its really worth it. Do you think so? Or is shaving daily just easier? Trying to decide if i can even stand letting it grow enough to wax. If you wax on a regular basis is there any benefit? Does It hurt less or last longer between waxes? I can't remember how long before it grew back, does a month sound right?

Open Question: Corel Draw X3 runs extremely slow (heavy lagging)?

I'm taking a college course that uses Corel Draw X3, I just got the software and it runs extremely slow on my computer, about a second between each screen refresh (about 1 FPS). My computer is way better than the ones used at school, I don't know why its running so slowly, the screen refreshes so slow its very difficult to use the software. School computers that run its very smoothly: (they're dell laptops) Intel Core 2 Duo @2.4 ghz, ~2GB ram, nVidia Quadro FX 1600M Win Vista Business, 32 bit My PC: Intel i7 920 Quad w/HT 2.8 GHz 6GB DDR3 1333 nVidia GTX 285 1 GB (about equalivant to nVidia Quadro FX 5800- same GPU chip) Win Vista Home Premium ,x64 (bench marked with Crysis @ 33 fps, 1920x1200 every max settings) I don't think its my hardware, I think it may be a software issue or a settings problem, Please Help!

Open Question: Pregnant girlfriend, need a plan for college... and life in general.?

My girlfriend of 17 is pregnant. I just graduated high school and am currently taking a year off before college, basically waiting for her to graduate high school so we can go move together. But now she is pregnant. Neither of us have money to pay for college, so we are both going entirely off of loans. I am not going to settle for an OK job with and OK salary that I will sit in for 40 years and stay lower middle class, I am better than that. My dad - top ten in a class of 600 - became a private school teacher for 38 years, he remains lower middle class, struggling with money, and they had me and my siblings three years after they were married. I fucked up my first two years of high school and came out with a 3.1 cumulative, act of 21, I am planning on attending Winona State University in MN. Now my main question is, what degree should I be looking at in college? Originally I was looking at a music business degree, as music is my passion, that was before we found out. We were planning on both of us getting degrees and jobs and then settling down for a family once finances and situations allowed. That changed a bit. I am going to be pulling the financial wagon. What would also be great would be some suggestions on a plan for what WE are going to do. Should I work my ass off blue-collar? Should I run with the 4 years and pray for a job? She also is going to go to college, no matter what, however, if we have a newborn child how could she do that? online courses are not an option - they make the most sense, but knowing my girlfriend, there is no way in hell she would do them religiously. She has an aunt that lives about an hour away from Winona. Also, most colleges require the student to live on campus at least one year, Winona is no exception. With a baby, that's really not possible for her, do colleges give leeway on situations as such? *Edit- I am planning on college and wondering about growing careers so that I can support a child. Neither of us are planning on running off and doing our possess thing while leaving the baby behind. We were planning (after we found out) on me going to college and getting a degree while she took care of the baby, and then when I had a job that supported us, she receive's her degree. Is blue-collar really the way to go when looking at the longterm? And I do have a job, I'm making about 20g a year right now, at 18, that's not going to be improving for a while, that's also not enough to support 3 people.

I don't receive it.. We have so many regulations now, that our government can not keep up. Creating more regulations, will only create more bureaucracy.. And it is apparent, that the government does not follow up on standards and regulations in place now... Or the BP explosion would never have happened, Berni Madoff would not have scammed millions of dollars, and the eggs would not have been tainted with salmonella.. oc.. A Salmonella outbreak earlier this year that was linked to peanut products killed nine people, sickened at least another 700 and triggered the largest food recall in U.S. history. below the proposed budget, $259.3 million would be added for food safety to pay for stepped up inspections, better surveillance of food safety problems and enhanced ability to contain outbreaks of foodborne illnesses. The spending plan proposes that the FDA charge the food industry $94.4 million in new fees, money that will be used to register and inspect food manufacturing facilities, issue export certifications for food and animal feed, reinspect facilities that have failed to meet FDA safety standards Apparently you don't know what you are saying

Open Question: Will the drug war in Mexico ever end?, and how is life there now?

Almost 30,000 people have been killed, and these drug traffickers receive richer. Even if the military is deployed, nothing still happens. The only drug traffickers killed are the footmen, and if a high ranking capo/druglord is arrested he is given a luxurious life in jail and still continues his business from the inside. How will Mexico recover from this condition? The government officials continue to be intimidated and bribed, civilians who want a peaceful life are severely affected. Why don't the U.N. interfere and put an end on this crisis? If you are a resident of Mexico how is life for you? Is there violence in EVERY state? Do you look drug traffickers roaming the city frequently? Yes, but why will drugs be legalized given the reasons and intentions of these traffickers of producing drugs? This will only increase the problems.
