Open Question: Have you received your Census bureau form?

I have received a letter from the Census bureau and it is printed in 5 different languages. I thought I lived in america where the spoken language was English. It would seem that those at the census bureau, disregard our spoken language, and are making it easier to do away with English altogether. Governmental administration should use English only, if you cannot read nor talk English then learn. It is bad enough that business every across america print more than one language on every product packaging,making it easier not to talk English. Government should not go along with this trend, it is the beginning of the division of our nation. I will not fill out nor provide any information on a governmental form if it is printed in more than one language. So in other words, receive it in English or do not ask me to contribute to a division of our nation.

Open Question: Who do you bank with? How do you thnk the future looks for them?

My situation is interesting. every clients of my business pay through Paypal, and I pay myself from that account to my personal Paypal account. Now Paypal has a debit card, so every of my banking is done either with the Paypal debit card or on their website.....so in reality, eBay, which owns Paypal is my bank. On that note, is eBay bound by normal bank regulations?

Open Question: I just got a brand new puppy?

My husband surprised me with an 8 week old german shep/black lab mix puppy. He is the cutest thing BUT he is not housebroken. I am pregnant and I am going to have a baby soon and I really wish this puppy knows that he must do his business outside before my son enters the world. Anyways, how can I receive my puppy to go outside and not inside. So far I take him outside once he wakes up and a little while after he eats. He does not like to be alone so I have to walk around the backyard in order for him to use the bathroom. We have 2 other dogs. 2 jack russel terriers. 10 and 11 years old. I receive them outside with him alone. But he barks and cries at the door then when I let him in, he does his business on the floor. Any ideas?

Open Question: Quarterly Tax Deductions?

Is it possible to receive quarterly deductions from taxes from an IRA or HSA? I currently possess an LLC with no employees. My income, and business profit are basically one in the same. Since an IRA or HSA is based on personal income, I'm not sure how this would work out even if quarterly deductions are possible. If it is possible to claim quarterly deductions on those types of accounts, how much can be deducted?

I have a business with multiple laptops and desktops and multiple disks for Microsoft Office. I am trying to figure out which disk/license goes to which computer. How can I check which license is used for the software on a given computer? Is it below "Properties" or something? Open Question: Here is a problem. There are 3 caretakers for this elderly couple. (The couple are?

not on the same page)..2 nd marriage. His daughter feels they should go into an assisted living place. The elderly wife says.."NO< NO< andNO! She is adamint about not going and "I will not discuss it any further,"...soooo OK...BUt the elderly man who has his senses, but sadly his body is failing him, says ..:"yes, I am ready to go in.". Plus you know they battle. It has gotten to the point that he WILL NOT pay for her assisted living anyway...He said .."that is her business, not mine" I will pay my way" and she has to pay hers when she decides to go in." So there we have it. The family lives up North and keeps insisting they both need to go in an assisted living place. (By the way, the family will NOT help out. They are too busy). That is why we are here. What should i do? They talk about it every the time; but it is HER that refuses to give up her home...and I understand that. (They have gone through many caretakers...because those caretakers are done with every this crap). What can I do to DETACH, BUT STILL REMAIN their caretakers and do the work I need to do? It is more of a mess than I am talking about.

Open Question: Do you think College is a scam considering that more than 90% of all graduates never find jobs in their field?

I mean if your extremely wealthy and want to go for fun, that's fine, but I look so many people receive masters degrees in Art History and Accounting and never find jobs in their field. There are a couple of people who work next to where I work, and they have masters degrees and doctorate degrees in accounting, business, education and every many other fields who work Home Depot for a living! I realize the economy is getting really bad, and I have a pal who graduated from a university with honors with her bachelors in elementary teaching. She can only find receptionist work right now! ...and a lot of teachers are not getting renewals for their employment contracts either in many elementary schools. So do you think most majors are scams or to put it more lightly - a trap you can't receive out of? Why or why not?

Open Question: SHOULD I TAKE THE MONEY AND LEAVE AND JOIN ANOTHER COMPANY?

i work for a marketing company, we market home security monitoring service. we are mostly college age students,im 22 years old. we move to a new state every summer from our home town and sell monitoring service door to door. we receive about $500 per each sale. its difficult work but pays off, currently i signed with a new marketing company and accepted a $2500 sign on bonus, they said everything is the same as my previous company. now that its getting closer to summer i was just informed that we only receive $215 upfront and the relax on our back end check. ( half upfront and half at the end of summer in one check) well. the thing is if we do certain things like not ask for a $99 activation fee we lose $100 off our commission and we lose money if we give out too much equipment. so every of a sudden that 215 becomes 75 or 100 a sale upfront. most reps quit before they receive their back end with the relax of their commission. it states in their rep agreement that they dont receive the relax if they quit. SOO i asked for more upfront at least 300 because thats what i was getting at my previous company, and after deductions i never saw the relax of my commissions. i had already accepted $2500 sign on oh and they are trying to make me sign my possess lease on an apartment so reps cant quit if they want to in the summer. other companies corporate pays for housing and just deducts 100 a week from our paychecks. i can leave at any time and go to another company thats willing to pay me more upfront. but will lose business relationships and earn a bad reputation in the process. im 22, im a really good salesman i have being doing this job going on my 4th summer, i deserve to be paid every my money. if they dont give me more upfront should i just leave and go to another company thats willing to pay me more upfront??

Open Question: When an advertiser wants to put up an add on your site..and asks you for a quote?

A site that I write for with a pal (We usually do some fairly popular "top 10 lists") have been getting some advertisers wanting to put up advertisements on our site. They usually ask us for a quote to put up an ad for the month. Some do just give us an offer. But when they do ask us for a quote, what should we give them? My pal (who shouldn't be handling the business side of things) told the last advertiser (a poker site!) that they can advertise for $25.00 a month which pissed me off. I said it should at least be $125.00/month with the amount of traffic this list gets that they want to put the ad up on. They never responded and I'm wondering if it's because we devalued ourselves so much by giving such a low-balled rate. The question is, what's a moderate amount of money an advertiser would want for a monthly quote? What do they realistically want to hear without thinking that our site is crap because we give them such a low estimate like $25.00... Thanks. -Brian

Im looking to purchase a new computer. I will mainly use it for creating websites and regular home business needs. My budget is $1000 but I am willing to exceed that. I don't really have a preference toward desktop/laptop because I would use it at home. My son has a Mac and he hasn't had any problems but I realize that a Mac would not really be in my price range. We opened up a store on Multiply with our business name (for example, "Golden Bean Coffee"). Hello every, I am a 2nd year chemical engineering graduate student working on free energy calculation methods (TI BAR MBAR EXP etc) using molecular dynamics simulations ( MD code : GROMACS ) . A little about my background : I am chemical engineer at heart delving more in process engineering and have little knowledge of biochemistry/organic chemistry. I was curious about the business aspect of my research field (MD in general). I tried to google out the information but couldn't receive anything substantial. I know that research is not always for money but at the end of the day every body needs to find a job or create a job on his possess (start a company). I have these two things in mind, either prepare myself by building on the skill sets for a job or try to work on something such that in the end I could commercialize my research. I know one thing for sure that MD is going to be a big tool in Life sciences Industry. But the problem is that I don't have a clear picture (it is partly due to my lack of knowledge/ confidence in not being from a biochemistry background). I look some non biological applications of MD but they are only academic. I wished to look a flourishing business based on MD or even a venture model but I couldn't. Open Question: Can anyone think of some careers i could do when i'm older? Read on for more details...?

I know you might think that i don't need to worry about careers just yet (I'm 14), but i would at least like some rough ideas of jobs that i might like/like. I've already chosen my options for year 10 (I'm in year 9 now). We have to take; English, Maths, Science, ICT, RE, PE & PSE. For my other 4 subjects i've chosen ; Geography, History, Phycology & Business studies. I've never done phycology & Business studies before. Here are a list of things i would like in my job: - Good wage - A tidy job. I don't want this to say stupid or like i'm dreaming in a dream world, but i'd like to go into work wearing a skirt, high heels, nice blouse. Yeah, hopefully you receive the idea lol. - Travelling would be really good - I'm not very patient, so any jobs that you need ALOT of patience wouldn't really be very good. But, i know that if like the job, then i would definatly have patience. - I can't really say what i'm good at, cause to me, i'm not good at anything. Erm....Yeah, i think that's everything. If i do think of anything that i've missed out, then i'll add it on. Thank you. A couple of years ago i was really keen on being a Primary School Teacher, but now i've changed my mind. I did a job from home and the people I worked for are taking TOO LONG to send me my w9 (I think that is what it is called). They never took taxes out of my paycheck so now I have to do that every on my possess. I keep e-mailing and asking but the man says that his "accountant" will receive to it. For example, what would happen to the local grocery store if the unemployed no longer received money to buy groceries? What would happen to the corner store if the unemployed could no longer buy gas? What would happen to the local pharmacy if the unemployed could no longer buy medication for themselves and their kids? In the past there have not been enough unemployed to really effect these businesses. But today with the unemployment rate hovering between 9% and 10% it would be a significant portion of revenue.

Open Question: Isn't it time to get rid of all these current taxes and placed them all into one?

Hey what would happen if the current tax code was replaced with a "Fair Tax". More info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FairTax The Fair Tax would make things economically better for every of us. Businesses and the wealthy people won't be taxed nearly as much. More hiring would be possible if the Fair Tax was in play and it may encourage more saving since it taxes consumption. Yeah there is the risk for fraud but isn't it rampant in this current system too? Republicans nor Democrats in Washington do not want this system simply because they both work for separate interests, unfortunately, they do not work for the people's interest (lousy bastards). My final point; if you had a choice in staying on this tax code or going with the fair tax code; which do you believe would be more beneficial for America?
